Putting my Pride Aside

I have always been intimidated by any instrument especially guitars, which is a shame because I have always enjoyed the music they make. My friends and family have constantly tried to encourage me to learn electric guitar but I guess I have always been afraid to fail at it and be shamefaced in front of them. None of us want our pride to be injured. I recently turned forty and took a long look around and realized that there’s so much I haven’t done because of my ego. I decided to stop letting it hold me back and started taking lessons that day.
